Wool everywhere and Singing

IMG_20151012_122307269

This is what my workplace looks like at present time.

Wool all around and rather chaotic.

I`m preparing for the bazaar in November at my children`s school where I´m planning to sell pictures made of wool and felted bowls (you can see some of them here).

It´s good for me, that my daughters love horses.

They brought me some tail hair to use it for this racoon`s whiskers.

And more and more I try to use dried plants in my pictures, as you can see in the photo above.

Speaking of horses also reminds me of this photo:

I also saw some of them near to a house I like very much. It`s in the Vosges Mountains in France and I spent the last weekend there with my choir.

It´s such a beautiful landscape around it and most of the time, you only hear cockcrow or cow`s mooing. But I think last Saturday and Sunday, you could also hear some singing….

But now back to wool:

I want to show you this book, which me and my children like very much:

In English it´s called: „Bugs in a blanket“.

The original pictures are mainly needle felted but also sewn with fabric scraps.

The bugs look so funny and I think, the author must have had a really good time doing all this.

And now:

Knitting. This may not be missing.

At the moment there are some projects. But the main thing is this:

(The colour looks really strange on these photos.)

Pam Allen`s Morning Glory Cardigan.

I know, the original one is knitted with linen yarn. But it` s too cold for this now and I wanted wool and this sort of mustard colour.

So, this was a little update on creating and crafting around here,

for today it`s rather late now,

see you soon,

Eure

Frau Wollwesen
